Traditional Spain:
The whole Costa Blanca is considered to be “old” Spain and is still a long way off the traditional holiday routes. Away from the beaches and only a few miles inland you can travel through small towns and villages virtually untouched by tourism. Anyone who has experienced a local village or town in it’s fiesta season will know of the excitement, colour and spectacle – the music, singing, dancing, drinking and eating which follows the procession of villagers in traditional costume and regalia. The whole place comes to a standstill with everyone made welcome. On the road, castles and churches and historic buildings are everywhere, you can witness the true culture of Spain in the skills and crafts of Spanish workmen. As you pass acres and acres of Lemon and Orange groves, vineyards full of grapes, field upon field of Almond trees and terraces of Olive bushes you’ll see how Spain is both very old. . . yet very modern.
